Our Story

In 2018, Deanwood Heights Main Street (DHMS) became a part of the annual Art All Night DC celebration. We concluded the first official Art All Night successfully in three venues.   Over 50 individual artists and performers participated and over 1000 visitors came by DHMS neighborhood to experience all that we had to offer.

We celebrated Ward 7's rich historic and artistic traditions with “Old School Tribute” , “Family Focus”  and "Food As Art" themes. We also brought culture into the neighborhood’s first Art All Night – the aim was to create exposure to young minds that there are a multitude of diversity in different communities.

One of the unique Ward Seven initiatives  was the East End bus loop that connected DSMS, Minnesota Avenue and H Street Art All Night with multiple location pick-ups/drop offs.  It encouraged crossover visitations between the neighborhoods, so audience could maximize their Art All Night experiences.

DHMS is delighted with the results and outcome of the first official Art All Night.  The community feedback and visitor reviews were all positive and uplifting.  Everyone that visited had an enjoyable evening and can’t wait for the next season of Ward Seven Art All Night!
